hybrid drop ball ???

has anyone ever heard of it? i asked a travel ball pitcher, probably 16u? what kind of drop ball she threw. a peel or a roll over? she said " i throw a hybrid" it's a cross between a peel and a rollover.has anyone ever heard of anything like that?

She may be describing a cut drop which does look like a cross between peel and pull over.

At a recent clinic, Rick Pauly demonstrated (using his daughter Sarah) a drop technique, which I think he called a "slap" drop. The ball is held with a fastball grip (three fingers) and the hand turns across the outside/top of the ball as it passes the hip. My description doesn't give the delivery justice, but the ball does have a nice fallout to it. I'd love to see Rick break down the mechanics in a future video.
