Have a left handed pitcher with a curve, a rh pitcher with a drop curve and or anyone with a great rise. There's a REAL good start to defending slappers.

I've been accused of raising a young Nolan Ryan, not because of her pitch speed, but because she is not afraid to plunk someone to send a message.
My DD and her catcher like the inside curve and drop, change ups if it disturbs her timing.
With a runner on second, they move to outside pitches to give the infield a chance to look back the runner.
