I see NSA is proposing the 14U change to metal also. Does anyone know if USSSA is making this change?

According to the ASA Softball Facebook post , the council has voted to move the 14u distance to 43'

I think that is a smart move (no pun intended). Now if they would allow metal cleats and move the date/age to match HS that would be better!

Yes, metal cleats were approved for 14u as well.

True but it stated for "to be allowed in 14 Under A and B Championship play". Define Championship play. That leaves out 99% of all games played in 14u.

I was under the impressions that "Championship Play" included any qualifiers. That's what I was told for roster purposes.

"Championship Play" is any ASA game or tournament that can lead to a National Championship. For example, Metro/State/Regional tournaments, National Qualifiers, HOF Qualifiers, Territory Qualifiers, etc.

ALL ASA rules address championship play, though state/metro commissioners may alter/amend the rules in tournaments in their area only.
