Not everyone uses the same words we do here on DFP. About the only way to know if the PC knows what s/he is doing is to watch her teach.
Jake also uses noodle and is big on staying "skinny" especially on the rise.
I have a book by Fernandez that would make you cringe as like Finch it has no basis on how she actually pitched. Question is like Scarborough has her instruction evolved from how she thought she pitched to how she actually pitched.? Go take a look. Any instructor worth their salt would be happy to let you observe. Just remember that observation is just that, it is not interaction on anther students dime.

When I use the "spaghetti" cue I will usually tell them I want their arms to be like cooked spaghetti rather than uncooked spaghetti. Even the youngest ones understand that.
Skinny meaning to stay back and stay open at release.
Telling Jake to stay skinny is a bit of an oxymoron.
