I would agree with RHC in some regards I view it as a top down swing, also the initial move of the hands would be forward as opposed to some sort of turning the barrell action and slotting the rear elbow, there are still some people out there who advocate and teach a jab with the knob towards...
Honestly $50 is not bad, I talk with a lot of college coaches number 1 complaint they have is players are not taught how to throw properly, its not deal signer but it could be a deal breaker. I did find the information to be very good, sure there are parts of it that are a bit complex, but if...
You just cannot argue with the results, I been to one of their clinics, what Howard and Crystal teach, works. One thing I will say what Howard teaches is an understanding a method that is relatively easy to learn because you can prove it to yourself before trying to teach it to someone else...
I use and have for a long time, typically I remind them to get the back hip to the ball a little different but same thought, I also constantly am saying hips then hands over and over, just to remind them of the sequence.
Just curious how some of you cover the slap, I have done it multiple ways myself but always looking for ways to improve, this is an experienced 16u team.
It takes discipline to hit off speed pitching well, something most players at lower levels lack, it also takes a sequentially correct swing again something most lack. Its just that simple, anyone with a half way correct swing can load up on the heat and crush one every once and a while, as I...
I guess I have learned a little and apply a little from all of them, and some of you here, but for my money the best is Howard, in my opinion its about the ability to teach, it does not matter how well you can explain or understand mechanics, it matters more what you can get through the head of...
I agree the hand path is still not good, just slightly better then the original, the rear leg in the fiirst video seems to be better as well, the hands just get out front too fast for me, she almost starts connected with very little stretch, and loses connection quickly.
in my opinion she has no stretch at all, her lower body is not bad, but everything turns together, her hand path is better but still too low for my taste, her front shoulder never gets down, because her back elbow never get up to the sky enough, all just my opinion of what I see.
JJ most coaches simply do not know how to teach, a lot of people can look at a swing and say wow thats an awesome swing. I have been instructing hitting for over a dozen years and still find something new each week, most of it is garbage, and a lot of the rest is far to technical for the average...
ok give me a week we are in a tournament this weekend I may be able to get a live swing with a parents help here or there, next week I will have a lesson with her probably middle of the week, I will try to build that one thought back into her of hitting the inside seam. Another question I want...
Howe I get the focus of trying to hit the the inside seam, at one time I used that cue a lot, but I was swayed away from that as someone told me it was a bad cue and I should focus on the players hitting behind the ball and hitting it basically flush, which might explain why some of my girls are...
thanks I will get better at video, this kid is 13 and gets everything into it, I have a couple of still shots in game action, where the back foot left the ground right at contact, I know that is not necessarily a goal but she leaves nothing back, I will work on her sequence more, she is only...
Thanks, we will work on that, more of foward by coil then stretch, what do you think of the swing path, she seems to get behind the ball your thoughts on that and the finish, I really dont put a great deal of effort into teaching finish I view it more of a result.
