The one suggestion that I'll make with regards to hitting off the tee, and really Bp in general that I'll make again, is slow down the pace of the setup. Dont just tap the bat to the shoulder, lift and go. It's has to be more methodical. Especially if you are trying to work on mechanical issues. Just my opinion.

Get a screen, go to the park and throw front toss. Never really liked side toss. It causes problems. Like ( what she does) extending your hands away from the body during the coil/load. (early armbar). The swing rail thing or deltoid drill to keep her hand closer to her body and feel what is really driving/powering a good swing. Her core. Obliques and glutes. Lots of other muscles too but if she says her obliques are sore or tired then she is doing it the right way. Never use "level swing" as a cue.
Not trying to be a jerk but I would try a different hitting coach too
I've tried everything to stop or minimize the arm bar with no success. To the point where I was just letting it go. I didn't realize or think that it could be her hands getting too far away from her body in front. Thx! Maybe this is the breakthrough.

There are very good players that hit with armbar and even some gurus teaching it to increase exit velo. The swing rail can be frustrating to use at full speed. I like it for 50 percent swings off the tee just to get the feeling on hands staying in concert with the rear shoulder.

Just curious, is she being taught that she needs separation, whether directly or indirectly?
It's been a while since we have been to the hitting coach. I've basically paused everything to work on not cutting across the ball. I can tell there are other issues, arm bar, out of sequence etc. If you see something just let me know, we may need to put it on the list.

BTW - I bought the VPX harness to help her with her sequence. We only used it once before we started working on bat path but I really like it. Seems like a good tool.

I mean wouldn't that be something you work with the hitting coach on? Look, I am the last person to discuss hitting coaches but if you don't
trust him/her to fix whatever issues you are seeing you should probably move on like RH mentioned (if you haven't already..couldn't tell if the
"pause" is permanent or not ;))

Here's the deal with the hitting coach. He got Covid and while he was out I sent him some video from her session with him and talked about how bad she was just cutting across the ball asking for his opinion. He didn't respond and we haven't been back. I would consider going back for reps but we can probably accomplish more on our own. I loved the reps and the how he pitched to her and I didnt mind the focus on the lower half but he didn't break down to the swing enough. We started lessons because we wanted to get her better and stronger for 12U but it just wasn't comprehensive enough.
