I don't think thats right. I know you don't like still frames. Griffey has not turned the barrel yet.

CL,

the old TTB was ‘rearward ‘ behind the hitter. That was TMs big thing for the longest time. Since then he has revised? Behind and around right?

griffs first initial turn is from his helmet to his ear with no acceleration. Then he comes down to (accelerates) and releases(turns) the barrel.

All they have to do is use swings/movements that duplicate what's being said.
Who? What? Where? All I am pointing out is that this thread has gone the way 3 other threads have on here the last few years. Same information/arguing/pleasantries.

Here is my advice. Go to a field and try to hit bombs. Repeat ;)

I found a clip of my DD from a Feb game. She got fooled with timing on a change up, and ended up with her front foot down too early. Her ability to hold her launch, and rely on her quickness, turned this into a double.

Thanks for the response! I honestly don’t see her torquing the handle with the hands. Not cause I’m not trying to lol. She’s got a great swing!
I don’t think you can control when your foot gets down in games. IMO you have to stride looking for the hardest pitch the girl throws. The key to hitting off speed is found is solid swing mechanics. Maintaining upper body resistance while staying balanced (centered). You can delay heel plant momentarily when fooled. JMO! Appreciate your response and insight and what you provide to DFP

Rich's pattern works but definitely not what Griff, Bonds or other greats are doing.

These prove there is no acceleration during the initial ‘turn’ of the barrel. The down to when the frontside is leveraged is when the bat ‘blurs’. It’s so obvious

I haven't followed or listened to TM for very long at all. But I don't see the difference in what you saying he may have changed. I would say its relative to the pitch itself.

I also I've watched those Gifs quite a few times, I'm lost or blind to what you saying or seeing with helmet to ear with no acceleration. What does that even mean? Not trying to be difficult but I really don't see it LOL

Great adjustment ! Good piece of hitting ! But it doesn’t match what you say she does. Sorry. The initial turn (acceleration from GO in your words) isn’t true. She delays sit a bit and goes to the ball. If she was yanking her hands rearward it’s a swing and miss or a roll over.

The barrel goes ‘rearward’ with no acceleration. Then he accelerates down and across his body.

there are 2 turns of the barrel. If you don’t see that, maybe more gif gazing you should do?

Now granted I haven't been studying this stuff for as long as you may have, but you would be the first that I have ever heard say "2 barrel turns" when discussing TTB or otherwise. Please explain
