Our HS field has the problem of turning into an impromptu football practice field in July while the rec season is still going on. I've had to talk to the AD to keep the football players off, they were doing Z-drills in the outfield and it was starting to look like WW I trench warfare. Other times the infield looked like a cattle stampede had gone through in the rainy season. Yet the administration had the nerve to tell the girls not to warm up on the adjacent football practice field because they were trying to fill in some bare spots with grass.

In all seriousness coaching would be detrimental to my health. My father coached HS basketball for a couple of years
and he told me that if he continued it would have killed him..The apple didn't fall too far from the
tree with regards to uh..how should I say this..."intensity during any sort of competitive sporting activity." I would be a great practice
coach..
DD could use a coach like you. She needs something to get her motivated. Maybe a legitimate threat of getting pegged with a water bottle is the kick in the pants she needs.

The hero that designed our fields set them up in the standard 4-field quasi circle, but put each field at a different elevation. It looks a bit odd, but he did it to prevent football and soccer from stringing two fields together for their practices. Very effective, but we still get a few intrusions per year. Hero!

Since we can't get out to any field, I ordered (and received) those Skilz black/yellow balls so we could at least do some "BP" in the yard.

My control with those things Day 1 was comical. I can hit spots with a weighted ball, but these wiffles are tough. For her sake I hope I improve.

I use those skillz balls. Make sure wind is very low,a slight breeze will push those around very easy. Of course, I used the wind to make DD hit a curve ball lol

I like wiffle balls on a windy day.
Call it
Wonderful Windy Wiffleball Workout
Because with front pitch it moves the ball like a pitchers movement.

In our area, they have closed school campuses/grounds. Even kids, on their own, are not allowed on the grounds. Pretty sure it's a liability issue. I would just find another place/field for now

luckily enough in our area we cannot use school fields or organize practice at school during this extended spring break time. however our school has outdoor batting cages that are open to the public year around that are available as well as the tennis courts that are open to the public. City hasn't been shut down "yet" so we do what we can and still practice just in smaller groups individually, that is not as a team and with no affiliation to the school or now the travel ball team.
