I see no greater good. In this case supporting is condoning and justifying.
You can explain behavior without excusing it.

excellent life suggestion for everybody! My suggestion is for the parent to try to use this to teach valuable lessons. Sitting around whining and moaning isn't going to change anything.
Yikes.I did not reply to you.
Sorry my mistake I thought that was different person.Yikes.
So you are willing to say what the coach did was wrong?I referred to the coach as a "meathead," which is not defending the coach. Perhaps you should read what I wrote rather than what you think I wrote.
Anyway, the OP was from April 26. The game was April 27. It is now May 2. So, the kid has already sat out the game...and, presumably, the kid is back to playing just as she did before the incident. It is over and done.

If I am calling the coach idiot and everyone else is too? Then why all the reply’s?When it comes to how the team is run, they are. Just like when you get to college, the professors are
superior to the parents when it comes to how grades are handed out or when you get a job your boss controls whether you get a raise or not.
Considering pretty much everybody is calling the coach an idiot, I guess you are upset that none of us are suggesting the parent go to the AD/Dean/CEO to complain every time something "unjust" happens to their Suzy? If so then my supposedly unrelated "helicopter parent" comment a few pages back wasn't so unrelated..
What does your wife have to do with anything in this scenario other than if she is the boss at home she cannot control whether you get a raise or not since that is not her domain. The coach cannot control whether or not somebody goes to a funeral or a vacation but he can control the consequences on the field. Not sure why this is so difficult to comprehend. So much wrong with what you said at the start. So my supervisor can dictate what my wife does?
You know when you try to call names like helicopter parent it just shows you know you are wrong so you try to insult, but when it so far from the truth it has no effect.
She does not. That is the point. You are saying coaches are superiors to the parents. Same relationship. What does your wife have to do with anything in this scenario other than if she is the boss at home she cannot control whether you get a raise or not since that is not her domain. If you, or anybody, feel the need to meddle in every situation your kid is involved in then that is a helicopter parent by definition. This is a situation which will not cause irreparable harm to a child's future hence a parent needs to accept and move on.
