Her front hip is going backwards so little bend in knee is ok. Damn is she powerful. Love her tempo.

I don't agree with your conclusion. A leg doesn't have to be locked out completely straight to be rigidly accepting a weight shift. That said, I would agree that If the leg is flexing and absorbing energy, instead of transferring that energy to the swing by providing firm structure, it can be a problem.

I didn’t say completely or rigid. But minimal would be a good description.

Since that is the case. I would try to harness the rotation a bit better. Since that is the primary source she’s uses for force production. Make sure shes got good direction to channel that rotation.

I won’t say anymore. Just an observation. Or how I would approach it. Good luck.

I went through Mike's video that he sent me from earlier in the same session. It offers a better view of what's happening with her from leg.
Here's a few swings where she was working on some rear hip and rear leg feels (exaggerated coil)...

There is definitely a straightening and shift against the leg, but she releases that tension pretty quickly after the job is done. In the front-toss video, I think it's a lot harder to see due to her clothing color.

I always appreciate and respect obversations from other coaches, it helps me to learn and grow. Isn't that what we want our player to do. I'm trying to lead by example.

When I get a new student. The 1st question I ask is where is your balance point or center? We both agree it's the bellybutton. I say yes in almost everything you do it is. In this method of hitting your center or balance point is the corner. The balance in your rear leg separating the front from the back We build out from there.

W=W thank you and Merry Christmas
Eric I'm truly blessed to have you and Maddie as friends that I get to hit with.

She has some reverse C happening at contact affecting her posture. I also think she is breaking down with posture and swinging up to much.

Being that these are tee swings in the midst of exaggeration of other parts of the sequence, I’m going to hold off on talking about making any of those adjustments right now, based on these clips. That said, I don’t have an issue with a slight reverse-C body through contact.

I will just add these 2 frames as speaking a thousand words and whatever your trying to accomplish, stop. Not sure exactly what your trying to do, I don't like it, that is all I'm going to say.

I don't like the lines drawn (to narrow, hard to see) in the first pics, now I will say no more, lol.

I appreciate your input, but I know my DD. When Maddie's body gets into the position of the pro player you have shown, she hits like crap. I've seen it repeatedly, over multiple years. It doesn't work for her, and results in weak ground balls and pop-ups. Her hitting has ALWAYS been at it's best when she is pulling back over the rear hip.

Also...MERRY CHRISTMAS! :D
