    Roster Composition

    Need your opinions: Relatively small area. Organization has two teams in the same age group. Is it best to keep birth years separated or both teams be mixtures?

    Batting Out of Order

    This past weekend our #8 and #9 batters batted in the wrong order. #9 popped up , then #8 got a single. Other team then caught the mistake. Question is : Who should be at bat now?

    "Slinging the bat"/Ejection

    In a 14u game yesterday there was a player warned by the ump for "slinging the bat". It may have hit the catcher or something. Not totally sure. Anyway , next pitch , hitter rips a double and ump calls her out and ejects her. This was USSSA. Can someone cite the rule for me. Thanks in advance

    Does the run score or not?

    Situation: Bases loaded - 0 outs. Ground ball hit to 2b- R1 runs into fielder. Ump calls runner out for intereference. Is runner on 3rd allowed to score or return to base? Ump ruled that the run is allowed

    Coaching Decisions

    I cant help but think that if Florida was a TB team , there would be a post about how the coach is an idiot and not using someone's DD who is the #1 pitcher. Perfect example of how the coach might know his team and players better than the fan in the stands or a biased parent

    Concussion Training

    I just received an email regarding concussion training for coaches. The Tennessee Legislature has passed mandatory concussion training for anyone coaching youth sports. Do any of you in other states have this? I believe this is a really good thing. http://health.state.tn.us/tbi/concussion.htm

    My daughter has been using the Emask batting helmet faceguard (clear plastic) for several years now and hates all the wire masks. We are in need of a new one , but I cant find them anywhere. Any of you guys have info on these?
