First trip to USFA in Panama City.
Jdaddy, there are about 4 different parks that games are played at, and field conditions can very greatly depending on the weather. Varsity Roster..cutting girls
There is a lot of politics in HS sports, including SB. If a girl plays JV for the first 2-3 yrs of HS, the coach may put them on varsity just as a reward for playing JV. At our HS, seniors can't play JV, but juniors can. What coach wants to cut a senior, who has been with the team for 3 years...- FPMark

My answer would be twofold. 1) Develop your swing with late adjustability. Use your arms to adjust to the ball rather than power the swing. Most absurd thing a coach ever said
During a MS game one time, the batter (head coach's DD) had a hair tie around her wrist and the ump told her to take it off. Next time up, it was there again. I agree with you on this, and I prefer to be visitors, especially in ITB. But, with a runner on 2nd and no outs, you gotta figure you can at least score one! It's funny, when I took my DD to the Dr. Sat morning, there were at least 6 other kids in there with BB uniforms on. Knees, ankles, wrists, and one bloody (broken?) nose, and this was before noon. I don't think my DD will be playing next year, if I can help it. :(- FPMark

Most Dangerous Part of the Field
If you are having trouble with drainage, it's time to check into having the fields lazer graded. Our HS had it done a couple of years ago and it cost about $5000, including dirt. Someone on here a while back mentioned they had their fields done for alot less and they would come back every year...- FPMark

Most Dangerous Part of the Field
Alot of times this is caused by always dragging the field from the outside in (grass to pitching plate). That will tend to move the dirt towards the center of the infield.
