OnDeck Softball measures 10, 20 and 40 yard times electronically. The time starts when the front foot leaves the ground (or approximately when the back foot lands), thus not on initial movement. Here is a link to their National Leader Board where the girls are ranked by Athletic Index (a formula they came up with) that takes speed, agility and power into account: Ranking | SVE
Click on the + in front of the girls name to get her measurables.

WinThemAll, that's the exact same way that I time my team--sprinters start when back foot moves.....I don't have access to lasers at the university. If those are legitimate times, we need to talk.......here are the avg times of the girls on our team, a D1 mid major; which is why I question all hand-timed times that I see......

I don't blame you for questioning ;-) I know if you fudge the numbers, you run the risk of losing credibility.

Many of those have been timed for the last two years, and they are right in line with what they were in the past (a few have been timed for the last four).

These are a majority of the players that are at the top in our area of a 60-70 mile radius. Out of the top 20, I believe 10 are committed (5 DI and others NJCAA).

We work a lot in speed & agility in which some of these kids attend 2-3 times a week.
