What do you think of the Insider Bat

What do you think of this training tool to help teach youngsters the proper swing. Clever but could be very frustrating for kids. Gimick or usefull? Thoughts? Anyone with experience?

Both Right View Pro and Coach Candrea use it. Don Slaught says that it forces kids to line up the door knocker knuckles and they need to be told not to do that. He said that the company is going to fix the handle on it.

Try the dog training tool The Chucker and see what you think. I bought one a Petco, yesterday.

Both men recommend that.

I use the chucker. It is somewhat useful. I find it most beneficial because it gives kids something to focus on and work on when I have a whole team at a hitting practice and only one or two cages. It gives very good feedback to young hitters who cast a lot.

Yes, that is the Chuck It.

I asked Don Slaught about the knuckles, because there is always some well meaning person yelling at my students to line up the door knocking knuckles. My knuckles do not line up until extension. He was adamant that I was correct.

I am flexible and I want to teach the correct thing. He said "back elbow down and knuckles are off set." (And he is wearing a very large Detroit Tigers world series ring.)

Well I'm certainly not going to argue with the likes of Candrea, Slaught and Gaetti.
