University Of Montana First Recruits

So, it seems University of Montana will have a softball team in Spring of 2015. One of the first to sign her letter of intent is a local girl I've known since she was very young. Ashlyn Lyons.

Always great to see schools adding softball teams!!!!! I hope Clemson and Vanderbilt decide to add one before my DD graduates from high school (2017).

Small world, as an 8th grader she pitched for her high school team. WIAA allows 8th graders to play up if the highschool cannot field a team from grades 9-12. The first time I saw her pitch was the state tournament for 3rd and 4th against my daughters school. She led them to a win as an 8th grader! She has torn up some great hitters in state every year since.

Very happy for her!
