Thanks!!
Thanks!!
Yes, Bonds has a floating running start. The direction of the float also helps balance out his positive move towards the pitcher.
Should I queue up my DD to give a good example or leave her alone..the DBSF pattern that some people talk about is nothing but a very poor running start.

I haven't really focused on that in a while tbh. Just working on getting her to try and move out better for now. In the past when I started to try and work on the early leveling it gave her a bad case of bat drag as her hands became "dead".Lol! I realize you have a separate thread about your daughter, but I wanted to offer some quick advice. Be careful as you are changing the DBSF pattern. It can be developed into a good quality running start as she learns how to control her body better. Don't try to remove it completely.
So much more happening than just hands/forearms TTB. Can just the hands/forearms TTB? Yes. But is that the case in this swing? I really don't believe so, larger bigger muscles main drivers IMO.I guess this is the answer you are looking for.......huh.
Core/legs/etc are definitely important, I don't think anybody will disagree with that.So much more happening than just hands/forearms TTB. Can just the hands/forearms TTB? Yes. But is that the case in this swing? I really don't believe so, larger bigger muscles main drivers IMO.

Yes everybody agrees they are important in a swing. But I believe these larger muscles are equally important in making the barrel turn specifically, correction, not making, resulting in TTBCore/legs/etc are definitely important, I don't think anybody will disagree with that.
So the question is can you get a good "TTB" barrel path without thinking about doing anything in particular with the hands/forearms assuming everything else (e.g. core usage) is correct.Yes everybody agrees they are important in a swing.
