Not my cup of tea, but I do have a current student who is unable to learn the sprinter start. They teach leaning on the back foot about a foot behind the rubber at young ages around here, simply because it is allowed by the rules. So now you can make money to fix that issue before going on to places where both feet must be on the rubber!

We had an ump in a 10u game make a mistake once and call our pitcher for not having both feet on the rubber, even though the rules allowed it at that age. My daughter (who was catching that day) and the 2 other girls on that team who pitch have pitched with both feet on the rubber ever since. It actually worked out for all of them as they never had to relearn when they got older.
