Was not privy to the umpire conversation after the defense either threw hands in the air or the coach came out to protest. From a side view the ball would clearly be over the fence, but the umpires would somehow rule it bounced over. Still confused.
There was some confusion because the fences were almost always the temporary ones that were 3' high. Also, they are run over at least twice in every game, so they lean over a lot during the games.

Don't know who the teams were, but saw a three-run blast taken away after it sailed over the outfielder's glove and a dad caught it above his head. Dad was mire than a little irate.

The coach was a college pitcher. I think she's got three daughters that pitch. I know they play a lot of 16u.
