How about after pool play on Saturday when you played 3 games in over 100 degree heat. Kids are hot, sweaty, many have blood and dirt stains, many got up at 5:30 to make the games and the coach tells them they "didn't want it today". At least on teams I've been around, 90 percent of the kids give 110 effort every play.

This one is one of my huge pet peeves. We've heard "If you think you've given 100% today then stand up" when he obviously just made it clear that he didn't think anyone gave 100% so they have to sit there and agree with him that they weren't trying when they were pouring their heart out on the field - or look like they are calling him a liar. This one is crushing to the ones who were giving 110% Wish they would just talk to the few they need to talk to instead of hammering the team for a couple peoples lack of performance.

Right Here For Now
The pitcher lost focus and has thrown the last 3 balls in the dirt as far out as outside the opposite batters box. The base runners advanced every time. HC yelled at the catcher that she "had to be a wall back there!" Needless to say the pitcher was HC's DD.
