1 week ago my daughter was warming up to pitch before a game and threw a drop ball. When she did her shoulder started hurting. She started pitching to a couple of batters and the pain was still there. She told the coach and he pulled her out. I thought it was probably a pulled muscle or something. We have iced her shoulder once a day every day since last Saturday. It does not hurt unless she throws or pitches. She has rested her arm the whole week and it thought it would have gotten better. We went to softball practice today and there is still pain when she throws. I now realize that maybe I should take her in to see a doctor. I am not sure if I should take her to her regular pediatrician or a chiropractor or specialist? Has anyone been through this? Who should I take her to? Btw... She is 14 and she sees a pitching coach who thinks the pain is do to overuse. My daughter pitched about once a week over the winter break and now that softball season is here she is pitching 4 days a week and therefore needs some rest. She told us to take a few days off. So since it has been 7 days and not any better I am getting concerned. Any advise would be appreciated!
