I cannot speak for others, but personally I figured out that my beliefs now are exactly the same as they were 34 pages ago... How about you?

Josh Donaldson views his swing path entirely differently than Mike Trout. One believes swinging straight down is correct. The other feels it's illogical

One thing I learned before I even officially joined the forums is that words are hard... Different people interpret the words in different ways. Two people can say the exact same thing, but mean something different. Two other people can say something different but mean the exact same thing. Funny how that works...
While I agree there are different philosophies, I still believe that there is more overlap between philosophies than many people want to admit to. Admission of the similarities is a threat to their individualism.
I foubd out that Mike Trout teaches hitting differently than he really does it. No surprise thoughI cannot speak for others, but personally I figured out that my beliefs now are exactly the same as they were 34 pages ago... How about you?
I don't find it strange at all.. he's also has a narrower base. But do we know the objective in his first swing, what's he working on? Is he working on "down to".. similar to what Trout is talking about here?OK, I was just pointing out that in the second swing he stays connected to the shoulder longer than in the demo gif. You or someone mentioned that swings in demos may be different than game swings. Strangely his game swing looks better to me.
You're not surprised that the majority of the best hitters in the world don't understand how they hit the ball, demo/talk about/ teach/ practice what they actually don't do in a game. IDK, you could be missing something..I foubd out that Mike Trout teaches hitting differently than he really does it. No surprise though
Not surprising at all. Ive witnessed it hundreds of timesYou're not surprised that the majority of the best hitters in the world don't understand how they hit the ball, demo/talk about/ teach/ practice what they actually don't do in a game. IDK, you could be missing something..
Do you have a video of somebody following Trout's.. or any other pro's teaching on "down to" ? Just curious what "down to" means to you in a complete swing, a game swing, not a demo swing. Not surprising at all. Ive witnessed it hundreds of times
