Posting Team Stats

One of the parents really got upset. Their DD’s batting average was half of what they had tracked and her ERA was higher than what they thought. I had the batting average under .200 and they had it at over .300.

I'm always the opposite, I'm pretty harsh on DD as to what I call a hit/error. As an example, I had her in my stats ( spectator ) hitting .341 and the HS coach had her hitting .382 The funny part is the college coach went with the .382 in her bio, but again I guess that's the "official" stat.

For the teams that send out weekly or after each tournament, how do you deal with parents that are angry about the stats?

I just did them for the coach the year I did the 10U team but reminds me of a play that happened.

Bases loaded. GB to P who throws home for easy force play, only C misses ball. I put E2 in the book and girls dad who knows better is blasting me all weekend long that that was a hit all the way.

You'll never win the argument with the parent, don't even try.
