That would mean 1 in 24 travel ball players who are HS seniors would make D-1 rosters.

Don't forget about D2 schools. They have 7.5 scholarships IF they are fully funded.

D3 and NAIA work the academics side of the money fairly well.

The outlook is not a bleak as Country Boy paints. There are opportunities for players.

There were 7 freshmen in my DD's class. She and one other girl made it through the 4 years. One girl transferred when she saw she #3 on the depth chart for pitching and the others quit over the first two years.
