Value of staying on JV

This situation is actually probably great for development (starts on JV and gets a lot of practice) but it’s not great for getting homework done.

Good point. My 10th grade daughter played "swing" (both JV and V) and her grades suffered. We won't be doing that again with either daughter.

Yeah, my DD is in a similar situation. It makes her have 3 games a week as opposed to just playing for one team and having a break. Definitely not happening next season.

The only thing that really matters is she going to look back at her experience and have good memories. I practiced baseball and basketball till my hands bled so I could be the “best” and I have very few, if any, good memories about my playing days. I mainly remember all the “failures”. I am sure at some point I did enjoy playing but eventually it stopped being about that.
