Does drama count? My dd(9yoa) loves theater as much as any sport. She also plays bb and soccer. Wants to add volleyball next year.

drama might not be a sport but she wont be timid when all eyes are on her.

I like how ray added chess, its all about being well rounded. specialization is for insects.

Since your mentioning drama as a way of dealing with everyone watching you.
I made my DD take JROTC her freshman year. It helped her tremendously with discipline, confidence and leadership.
