LL Player can't afford to register

Our two local Little Leagues are charging $175 and $200 a piece. However, both leagues own their own fields. One has a 6 field complex and the other has a 10 field complex.

Our recreational softball (not affiliated with any rule sets, but play under a "modified" Pony set) charges $80, then $60 for each kid after that. Teams in the area set their own price. Our team is one of the highest. This year (for the first time in many years) we will be required to do fund raising.

Our rec price is $135, includes paid umpires. When we were LL,
cost was $95 volunteer umpires.

What do you get for that $280?

We get access to a very well maintained, private five-diamond baseball complex. We also get a huge smile on my son's face everytime he plays, which is priceless!
