Jennie Finch book

DD wants me to plug the new Jennie Finch book "Throw like a Girl". She is talking about it all the time. I havent read it, but looking through it, it seems like a great book for young teen girls. Dd said it tells Jennie's story then later chapters are about fitness, nutrition, self esteem, and being a leader. I do know Dd has worked out everyday for a couple weeks now, because "Jennie says you can't let yourself make any excuses for not working out everyday." Yesterday she told me that Jennie and Bustos are great friends and "it's really cool how softball can bring two people so close together that would otherwise appear to be so different."

Kind of funny Jennie's book was mentioned! My DD's school had a "Literature Day" yesterday - it's their alternative to Halloween where the kids dress up as a character from their favorite book. She dressed up as Jennie Finch...Here's a pic of her with Jennie's book!
