I'm simply advocating on the girl's, in the article, behalf. Everyone here is quick to judge or blame them without asking how important prep softball is to them or their families. For all any of us know these girls took their senior trips because they knew that their summer would be spent at PGF and Sparklers and when that was over they were off to college. This trip could have been their last chance to hangout with their classmates before everyone ventures put in to the world. Some minor prep softball game may not compare to that.
The coach knew and accepted that. The only person in the article who was hurt over it was the prep beat writer, who is paid to care, and they were angry that these girls showed them juat how insignificant a prep softball game is. So what does that say about the writers job?
