Jame's DD is in a fine, balanced position when she initiates the reach.

Well I guess I misunderstood what you meant by "conditioned to balance". I took it to mean that it was used as an attempt to regain balance from an unbalanced position.
This is exactly why I posted the Yelich gif.
It can and usually does mean that. But not in James DDs case, I don’t think that is an issue. I think it’s her posture. Jmo.

In the live ball swing her back knee and belly button barely gain any ground while the front leg is moving out..this will put her in a bad position at launch there is no way around it.
