how much different is usssa from asa in tournament play

Thanks for all the help. We are located in east/central pa.

We play in South Eastern PA. We are playing in Quakertown this weekend.
The USSSA tournaments are highly competitive. The "A" level teams are good and have good 1-2 and in some cases #3 pitchers... The "B" teams are variable depending upon pitching. The "C" teams are usually 1st year to the age bracket and have pitchers that are in some cases one step above REC.

Piching rules are a little different too. USSSA allows girls to take a step back before delievering the ball. ASA requires both feet to be in contact with the rubber.

Step back no longer legal in usssa.
