OK, I got my new casio Ex-fh20 high speed camera& Im having fun experimenting with it. This camera will shoot up to 40 frames/sec.I can set it at 30 if I want.If I understand right, that is industry standard for measuring a swing???

anyway I have heard you guys mention a 5, 6, 7 etc. frame swing. How many frame swing should we be striving for here, & how do you measure it? from first foreward movement to contact??? Thanks Lane

I'd run that camera as fast as you can and then do the math on the frame counting. To answer your question, in a standard thirty fps video, the swing needs to be four to five frames from first move of the bat head into the swing plane till contact. With forty frame per second video that would be approximately five to six and half frames. I count five frames here. http://imageevent.com/siggy/hitting/olympic?p=5&n=1&m=24&c=4&l=0&w=4&s=0&z=9

You can use your cursor left and right arrows to step back and forth frame by frame.
