To the experts older and wiser:

Have you seen trends in softball pitching throughout the years? For instance, I am a fan of MLB and have seen batting stances go through trends (i.e. front heel off the ground, the load and added step through the swing and most recently a more open, angled stance...mind you, the descriptive language is mine and are not technical terms). My dd is 14 yrs old...starting pitching at 9 yrs old. She is now a freshman and varsity pitcher. Is "closing the hips" an older successful trend? She is now taking lessons from a pitching instructor trained by Club K who has made some changes to that part of her mechanics (proven successful so far).

Additionally, on a 16u travel team, how many solid pitchers and how many developing pitchers is mutually beneficial for the team and for the pitchers?

Thanks for the input!
