We have a rec and town travel program in our town. We hold clinics with local coaches to show our volunteer coaches what we expect to be taught. Although the clinics are mandatory it is hard to realy force a volunteer to attend, but attendance has been good. We will also be having a survey at the end of the year asking the parents several questions about the coaches and the girls experience with them. If we get a coach with too many negative remarks he/she will not be allowed to coach the following year. We have over 500 girls in our program from 5 yo and up, so we want to keep them playing softball and not let an uninformed coach chase them away.
