Has anyone played in any of the Dome tournaments (Irish/Dells) and if so any comments recomendations about them. Have a team up here going next year and wanted to know more about the fields/Domes.

Not sure what you want to know. Irish Dome and Vadnais Heights are probably the most common Domes used for Softball in the Twin Cities. There's Nets instead of Fences. There's Turf instead of Dirt. The rubber is attached to piece of turf and staked down (some places can't stake it down so it floats. Bases are the rubber material usually and set out on the field. Field (bases) are marked with spraypaint so the Umps or players can move the bases back. The Irish Dome and Vadnais Heights are large enough to have fences and two fields.
My DD has played a season and some pick up games/Tourneys in the Dome. It's not the same but it's all we have up here in the frozen tundra.

Well, our season suffered a major setback with all the snow we just picked up over the last week. Went from having no snow to 1 1/2 feet of it. I see Minneapolis/St. Paul is snow free...
