The biggest dog in the fight definitively does not want to lose. Such was the case a couple of years ago when Jake a lowly TB pitcher shutdown JUCO Chipola. She got an offer on the spot. Then history repeated itself when she was in the circle when Chipola played SC and it went 10 innings in Columbia. Chipola was thrilled but the SC staff were not happy campers. When my TB team beats a JUCO it is a rough week of practice for the college kids. We are happy if we can keep it close against a college team not get blown out. Make no mistake, at least one of those teams if not both are playing for keeps. :)
I love hearing the stories of your daughter's success!
DD said last night that they are only taking a small roster to James Madison and the next two are against Pitt and Georgia Tech...
Definitely sounds like our team is looking to put up a good fight.

Are these scrimmages, that are based on relationships, done on a yearly basis?
Or are there a some girls on the TB team that the college is interested in, and the scrimmages are set up based on that?

That's what we are hoping for. DD's TB coach has developed great relationships with these college coaches and I know that some of them are interested in some of our players (DD included). DD has been emailing with the coach of the team that we are playing tomorrow and she emailed him again last night to let him know how much she is looking forward to playing at the college tomorrow...

Ask the coach of they or someone on the staff had time to give you a tour. It shows you're interested in the school and it's a great opportunity to ask questions. Even if they just have players show your DD around she can get a lot of insight from them.
