Thank you. I believe that ASA started in 1933, so there should be pictures that are much older than this. The dividing into age groups pretty much put the woman's game out of business. We had many players that were 16, but we had pitchers that were 40 years old, too.

They were metal and we still just picked them for their color. We didn't have any choice on weight or length.

I did play with wood up until about 1972.

Funny you should mention that....

At the last ASA Council Meeting in November, the divisions of Women's A, B, and C were eliminated in favor of one women's division....

18 and over.

That's a nice clip, I'm going to share it with my daughter's team.
The one thing to note is it seems like the short game was much more prevelent than it is today (take the technology out of the bats and the short game would probably return again).

And those bats were picked up at Sears, under the farming section, listed under fence pole and cattle guards. ;)
