She has bad bat drag (red, hands are behind the back elbow) because:
1. Her bat head is a little too flat at toe touch. Bring it up to abt 55 deg
2. From toe touch to hip slot. she brings her back elbow down without moving the bat head very far back toward the catcher (see yellow) The bat head should move 1:1 in unison with the back elbow drop.
3. Never, ever let the hands get behind the back elbow at any point in the swing.
WW, I think I see what you're saying.. Looks like the extension is caused by the rear leg/hip pushing against the lead side leg vs the middle contracting against the hips extending within the s-plane if that makes sense ?Op, if you understand how the body extends and when it does so you can see that her posture doesn’t allow for properly timed body extension.

The issue w ground balls will be fixed if she can learn/maintain her posture over the plate into launch. When she accomplishes this she will be able to rotate around her hands/torso more so than level to the ground which will keep the bat on plane through the ball longer which will stop the early extension of the hands/torso/bat around the ball.
Basically her first move at launch is spine extension which makes the path flat from the start. Most likely hits high pitches well and struggles w everything else. What she has is early active extension/rotation.
My fix would be to get in stance where she has her chest over the plate and tries to keep it there throughout. Nothing major, but her sternum should point close to the outside corner of the plate, not the first base dugout. Kinda like the pro I posted.

IOW's lacking the "swinging down to" against the hips.
Yes !! The current movement is all frontal plane driven (catcher/pitcher).@TDS as far as the rear leg being the culprit.. yes and no? That’s the effect? The lack of balance in the sagittal is the culprit? This is a chicken and egg thing?
