He turns the barrel at launch which is after the pause in the clip. Prior to that is untipping and getting on plane.
A guy like Brett turned immediately because he was already pretty much on plane with his handset

Our definitions differ. My definition is loading the hands/barrel which happens before the clip pause. Your seems to be the swing or release of the swing . Correct me if I'm wrong.
So your saying saying that he isn't turning the barrel until after the pause? I asked the question of when the barrel is turned in the past and everyone seemed to think it was turned immediately.
This is what I was trying to say in my post above ^^^^
or setting up a rotational point? In other words is he actively turning the barrel from the start of the clip (launch position) or is he setting up the joints to create a rotational point of/for the hands (barrel)?

I dont like to see pauses in swing videos. Misleads me to believe if a player started at the pause position they would have the same result.

I would agree that pauses in gifs are usually bad to see the full action and understanding of the motion. But in this case I think they were used to show the action of the load in ' turn the barrel'. Since it's such a small and quick part of the swing .imo.
