You didn’t mention anything about this, so I am curious. Did she start tipping the bat in the video own her own?

Here are some swings from last night. We're focusing solely on the bottom end. (Yes, she's in her PJ's.) Nothing above the waist. Trying to work with her on hip drive and maintaining the coil to front side foot plant. I personally like swing 1 best as it's short, fast, and gives up no power. This is with her 34/28oz end loaded LS bat. She typically uses this in colder weather as it was a cheap '16 leftover.

Been about half a year since I've recorded her swings so figure I'd post a few. She's doing very well in fastpitch. On the year BA is over 500. On the fall season, after 3 tournaments, over 800 and hasn't been struck out even once. She's preparing to play a wood bat baseball tournament in a few weeks so she's swinging a lot with wood to get used to it again. 32/29 here, but got a new 33 on the way. Still think she's got work to do on properly turning the barrel.

First is a swing high in the zone, second low in the zone.

Wow! I really like what you and her have done. I'd make a suggestion or two but to be honest, any improvements she needs to make now might just fall into the category that she'll discover those small changes as she goes. If she were hitting with me, I'd have her tip on the load as an example. I like my hitters doing that.

So Cal
I definitely see some significant improvements from the start of the thread. Nicely done! :) No doubt she is a powerful athlete.

Currently, one of the things that jumps out at me is that it looks like she swinging around her body rather than out-from her rear shoulder. My DD has a similar issue.

Eric, I think we're seeing something similar but wording it differently. I'm thinking turning the barrel, her wrists are really stiff, she doesn't release them until right before she hits the ball. I'm having a hard time "feeling" it out in my mind though. I need to be able to really understand it in order to teach it out of her. I can see gifs of pros and I see them turning the barrel straight from "go". I do know her only weak spot is high and inside. If you try to pitch her outside or down the middle, you quickly regret it. Low and inside and you're putting your 3rd baseman in serious risk. But, high and inside will usually get a pop up if she bites, hitting on the inside of the barrel. I know that's a symptom of her mechanic. All I can think of is lack of turning the barrel.

Cannon, when you say tip, which direction? Tip forward towards the plate, or towards her head as in towards the pitcher?

I hesitate to offer advice on adjusting something I have been unable to adjust in my own DD. My inclination is that the answer lies in getting the barrel turning earlier with the hands/forearms around the HPP.
