Yes the lead arm needs work. It needs to stay up in the shoulder line like the clips posted.

Some times a slow motion swing will get hitter to feel how the body parts line up.

I agree 100% on not getting up on your front leg and standing up...but that style of swing and leg movement is being taught like the plague in the Travel Ball and College programs in the Upper Midwest.
Why is that?...
