College coach told me 65 mph overhand throw before even considered. This was top 30 ranked school. 65 mph is a strong arm. 75 is a cannon.

Ichiro throws correctly. Most do not. The problem is we teach them the reach back L stuff when they are young because it works but when they get older they don't have the time or need for it. Same goes for the big crow hop. But I still see "high level" coaches teaching the big crow hop. While the fielder is crop hopping the runner is gaining ground. The ball is faster than your feet. Swipe tag anybody?

Even in hitting the hands can stay over the back foot, aligned with the front shoulder while engaging the scap/back.

I think one of mine was 63 as a freshman in high school, one hit 65 as a sophomore. Not sure speed of other two, just know they broke 60 in HS

Do yourself a favor and look up Wasserman throwing. Your 60’s will be upper 60’s..

Wasserman doesn't give out too much free stuff besides water bottle drill which many (coaches included) think is weird or flat wrong. Plus I think he has something against So Cal. He never comes out this way?????
