Here's a tee swing from two nights ago

this a good tee swing. No excessive counter rotation. She engages her glutes/core. Uses her hands really well for a 10yo.

I would do some top hand only off the tee kinda like this. So she can feel staying straight/closed longer. Or I should say the lesser need to pull with the front shoulder or upper body will decrease. I don’t want the ‘front arm dominant’ police to give me a ticket. 😄

notice the LOAD. Just sayin. Ha.

So we’ve been working hard on seeing some faster pitching and starting early and I think we over did it. Last couple of times hitting live she looks like she is lunging. I took a close look at this video and I’m not sure if she’s lunging or she’s just hitting the ball too far in front of the plate. Either way, we’ve been doing well and I don’t want this to linger. Anything you guys see that can help? Thx!

Not sure if it hasn’t been said but your DD is dropping her hands during the move out. Front foot lifts up and hands move down. Her hands are almost at waist at toe touch. IMO if you work on keeping her hands up staying at shoulders during her front leg kick until toe touch you will cure a lot. JMO.

Edit: as a note her tee swings do not do this as much. So you are probably doing the right things just that she needs to get comfortable with live pitching.

Still working on separation. Not sure where the arm bar came from but she seems to recover from it. I've been talking to Clemenslee1 about hips staying closed and I think I finally got it but haven't introduced it just yet. We had a tournament this past weekend and she got 9 at bats with three hits (singles), 1 walk, and two strike outs. We seed 2nd but lost our first bracket game on Sunday to the #3 seed. She saw a lot of excellent pitching.

the arm bar could be there bc the tees too deep. OR if your working on separation... a mistake if you ask me.
