I've been trying to get video of dd but I'm always catching her. This was from team practice last night and because of the location in the building I couldn't get her from the other side. I noticed without video that she was leaning forward a bit which is unusual for her. Any advice? I think she's bending down too low trying to push hard, really bending her stride leg. She was throwing hard last night but seemed off in her motion and was throwing high which is also unusual for her. She normally throws very low. I will try and get video from the other side and post it as well.

She looks great for 10. I would work on using her glove more and resistance. Looks like she maybe turning and leaping on her drive.

Just from what I can see.
She’s a bit ahead in timing. Detect chem the happens when arm is around 12 o’clock or so vs 3.
Definitely leaping as you can see her pivot foot does not drag.
Based on her follow through she may not be IR as much as she could. But that a tough one from this angle.
Also it looks like some monkey hurt going on too.
For 10 she has a nice aggressive manner. Just need to tighten things up.
Take them one by one. Meaning work on them all but at separate times. Keep up the good work.

Definitely got a little lean over monkey butt going on....straight and tall cue might help.

Pretty huge leaper....even with lax umpires unwilling to make IP calls they are going to have a hard time avoiding that when the opposing coach makes a fuss...I would fix this now in off season before spring gets here.

Was that a change up? Its just that follow through and release seemed to kind of stop instead of whipping through.

Doesn't look palm up at 9 even looks like its past facing third which means she getting her hand behind the ball too much.

Timing issue was mentioned it is a little off but not terrible.

Keep on working at it and don't be afraid to follow up with a better video angle or more specific questions

It seems like in the fall she started trying to push really hard and started leaping and now that her lessons are indoors it seems worse. Will definitely work on that. Thanks.

She hasn’t been brushing as much(I think it’s hard since she’s built like a stick figure) and her IR is off. She’s throwing harder lately but I definitely see some things breaking breaking down in her form probably a result if tryinv too hard. We are off until sometime next month but may set up a net in the house and start over with the back chaining drills from here. Thanks.

I actually mentioned using her glove more and she is definitely leaping. That started this fall. any thoughts on correcting it?

For sure backchaining is great.
Honestly. Until she stops Lea I g over brush will be a challenge. My dd is 5’6” 98lbs. Stick figure. I get it. And yes it’s harder because it needs to be exact or you smash the iliac crest. However , once she gets it the whip is awesome.
My q for Dd was. Bring your hip to your hand and not the other way around.
See if that helps.

The way I helped dd with leaping was to do dry drive drills focused specifically on keeping the foot on the ground. She will have to reverse posture a bit to do that. Ie lean back slightly. Have her practice and practice and practice. Then dry drive to 11 o’clock. See if her foot lands when arm is at 11. For timing.
See how that goes
