Think about combining the ferris wheel with the laser drill that TM uses. The laser sets the angle. 12/6 on a tilted plane from there.
That's what I said basically, 12-6, but the orientation changes depending on pitch location.

So the ferris wheel is not always 12 to 6 right I mean... I mean if you consider lateral tilt and pitch location, the orientation of the ferris wheel changes. I always though TM's demos where ridiculous because he always focused on dumping the barrel.. getting to a lower pitch I guess. But as I learned more, I understood more. I think the same thing happening here with all the pros who say they go straight down to the ball. I honestly believe that's their intention, except the ball isn't sitting on a tee directly below the hitter. it traveling towards the hitter on it's own plane, so the hitter reacts/adjusts their body appropriately to get to that pitch, ARODS demo looks much different considering all of that. That's why I said it needs more context.

Personally, I prefer to use "tilt-a-whirl" for my amusement park analogies. To use a 12-to-6 approach (6 being the starting position of the barrel, and 12 being contact point), barrel speed is initiated right from 12, accelerated up to speed as quickly as possible, and continued through 6. The "lag/hammer" approach is delaying acceleration of the barrel until 9. I don't agree with that as a good approach, nor is that what I see happening in high-level swings.

Exactly... One of the issues is that people tend to pick short clips from TM and then say they are incomplete or exaggerated. Well, if you looked at all of his material together, you may have a different viewpoint. Just like Arod. His demo may very well be what he "feels". But it is only part of it. If we could actually sit down with Arod for an hour, and review slo-motion video of his swing with him, he may have more to add. I think it would make for an interesting conversation. I do agree with W=W in that we could learn a lot from pros and their thoughts. It's just a matter of deciphering those thoughts.

Funny how Arod matches his words. Go figure.

The initial turn is direction. The big blur is speed. That’s how HOFs do it. Not launch at go and come ALL the way around. No good hitter does that. It’s toooo long. Commitment is too soon. Too many misses. Only guy that’s had any success with that path strikes out 40% of the time.

Sure it can work at the LOWER levels. Or if your 6ft 8 with a short porch in RF with an oppo approach. But not many of us are 6ft 8.

But again it’s not a match. Not Elite level mechanics. Keep working.

The fact of the matter is some people have better coordination than others. Someone TRIED to even the playing field because his kids weren’t ‘coordinated’ enough. He said so himself. #Frankenstein #NoSecretSauce

I commend the effort. But the content is 2nd rate.
