RHC was talking of an approach to learn about hand usage, and then using the lower body to support that hand usage. That is not what we see here. What we see here is a lower body pivot. Since the upper body is incorrect here, this would not be "Pivot the Swing". If it works for you, then that's fine. When I work on the pivot I like to see it performed so as to be supportive of a good swing.

You see no hand pivot? No hand pivot would be what Tewks is doing. just a body turn, with locked up hands

Since you have the audio, listen to the first sentence ... "This is in response to Swingbuilder's taking the knob to the ball". He is against this, not for this.

In the video he preaches "barrel to the ball" over "knob to the ball". He speaks negatively of the notion of "knob to the ball".

Thats what i said.

That 'girl' looks like a 'guy'.

p.s.
In the drill that the 'guy' is performing, Swingbuilder wrote this ... "The goal being to pull the rear shoulder from the floor with the rear hip and not with the hand, arm and shoulder unit."

I understand the confusion over learning a good sequence leading to the barrel getting turned if you live in the rear leg drives the swing world. How else can you get the barrel around if you are back and back? You need to place a lot of emphasis on torquing the handle.

Get forward and back and create the correct stretches/resistances in your core and hips and get the hands to the correct position and the barrel will get turned into the zone early and stay there.

Punch to the ball:

Blue=Rear forearm
Red=Arm connected to the glenoid fossa of the scapula
Blue pin=rear elbow
"Tumbling" green pin=supinating top hand holding the bat
Green rod=thrust in the direction of the inside part of the ball
Bat is not shown but would be held perpendicular to the axis of the forearm.
Motor="the Core"

Note the supination of the forearm coincides with the downstroke of the armature.
It begins high in proximity of the rear shoulder. Therefore the PUNCH is downward in the direction of the ball. (Not portrayed here).
The degree of top hand supination defines the vertical angle of attack ACROSS the plate

The PUNCH is a PUSH, without the correct mechanism in the CORE.
