Been following the Australian Nationals - and they posted this image. There probably isn't a better hitter in softball than Porter.

Her delts are bigger around then the softball! They block the view of the umpire!

She does indeed look good, but based on where the ball and catcher are set up, looks like a swing and a miss on a rise.

All the body parts (the mechanics) look good in this swing. Looks like she might of hit it off the neck on this one, those are where the broken bats come from.

What I find amazing is how soon she steps out in order to turn on a pitch well inside and swat it out. She is a beast!

Yes. If you watch 1 frame at a time, she begins stepping out before the ball is out of the pitcher's hand. Hmm?

I saw this too and was hoping someone would comment on it. I did notice her foot is still in the air on release of the pitch. Maybe an adjustment based on the pitch? Would like to see more swings from the same angle.
