In general if the game is 2-1, you have two very good teams playing each other. A 20-21 game can pretty much guarantee both teams are weak at pitching and defense. Probably lots of walks, hit batters and errors making up many of the runs, not fun to watch.

My dd pitches but I would still take the 21-20 win. Its team sport and the important team stats begin and end with wins and losses.

2-1 loss can mean a pitchers duel, but not necessarily good defense. DD pitched a no hitter and had to win a championship game 3-2 in ITB. Make the plays we are suppose to make and i'm good either way.

That brings back memories My dd lost her first no hitter 2-1 in a 10u game. It was a 6 inning game, she had 18 strikeouts. The only runners were from walks and they advanced to third on passed balls and eventually scored on bad throws. That was not a fun game to lose, she was so mad at herself after the game for not hitting better and didn't want to hear about a no hitter or striking out everyone.
