I can imaging not having to practice in an unheated pole barn at below or near freezing tempratures is a little bit of an advantage. I just tell the girls to remember those days. They will think fondly upon them come August. Of course when they complain about the heat/humidity of August I tell to keep the memory for January.

You want cold? Try playing a game of stick ball in Brooklyn in January without gloves (show up on our street with gloves or, gosh forbid, mittens and you would end up head first in a trash can). Miracle of god that none of us ended up with frostbite on our fingers. When I reminisce about those days I remember why I moved to SoCal.
