They look very mechanical. Aaron Judge is really the one that comes to mind.

I think what makes people look at Judge's swing as a bit mechanical is his front leg action before toe touch..it just looks awkward. It was worse
before TM got him, but doesn't really mean much in the bigger picture.
Bingo! The shift or lack of is what makes AJs swing look mechanical and segmented. The shift would be the most athletic part of a swing IMO. AJs shift is non aggressive and unathletic IMO. It screams I have no balance and I'm not very sure of what I'm doing. BUT when he does let the barrel go ... woohoo! Jmho.
