Sometimes (oftentimes) I find it much easier to teach where, and when you want the bat/barrel in a particular location/position...than it is teaching some body part movement in an attempt to get the bat/barrel where, and when you want it.
IOWs, much easier to teach goals, and let the student learn how to get it done, rather than to start teaching some body part movements or contortions in an attempt to secondarily move bat/barrel.
Works for me anyway, I know others do it differently....and when all else fails, pattar's correct...."See the ball, hit the ball".
